The giant, the panic, and the storm
The giant is a commentary character in many folk tales called Rondaies. In this piece I tried to recreate an encounter with one of these creatures. The encounter takes place at Torrent de Pareis, a hidden beach on the north coast of the island, during a raging storm after the waves have pushed our boat out of the sea and onto the shore.
The giant seems harmless and doesn’t seem to have noticed us, but you don’t want to be seen by them, or they’ll eat you.
